Síndrome de burnout y su relación con los componentes de la teoría DISC en una empresa comercial

Abstract

The present research has as aim to analyze the relationship between burnout syndrome and its dimensions with personality styles according to DISC theory: Dominant, Influential, Steadiness and Compliance. We assessed 91 workers from a private commerce enterprise (37.4% female and 62.6% male) by the application of Burnout Maslach Inventory and the DISC Test. The results indicate that the 15.4% has severe level of burnout syndrome and the predominant personality was the Steady in the 34% of the sample, followed by the Influential in the 29%, the Compliance in the 26% and the Dominant in the 11%. The application of the chi square test reported that there are not a significant statistical relation between the variables of this study.Resumen: El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo el analizar la relación entre el síndrome de burnout y sus respectivas dimensiones con los estilos de personalidad propuestos por la teoría DISC: Dominante, Influyente, Estable y Concienzudo. Se evaluó a 91 trabajadores de una empresa comercial del sector privado (37.4% mujeres y 62.6% varones) mediante el Inventario de Burnout de Maslach y la prueba DISC. Los resultados indican que el 15.4% presenta el síndrome de burnout y que el estilo predominante fue el Estable en el 34% de la muestra, seguido del estilo Influyente en el 29%, el Concienzudo en el 26% y el Dominante en el 11%. Al aplicar la prueba chi cuadrado no se reportaron asociaciones estadísticamente significativas entre las variables de estudio.
