Análise à conetividade do aeroporto humberto delgado enquanto fator de desenvolvimento do conceito de aeroporto cidade

Abstract

Airport City is one of proposed concepts of airport development identified in the literature. The emergence of an Airport City depends on the interplay of four key factors, one of which is the connectivity. This paper presents the results of a research aimed to assess the stage of development of the Airport Humberto Delgado with regards to the concept of Airport City, in respect to the factor air connectivity. The research method included a benchmarking exercise of the connectivity of the Airport Humberto Delgado against a set of other Airports City. The results suggest that the airport already satisfies this factor. Nonetheless, there is room for improvement in what concerns the amount of destinations or of the distribution of flights (wave system).
