Abstract

Istana Sayap is a royal palace of Pelalawan that once stood on the side of Kampar River, Riau. This palace has symbolic values that are inherent in order of the environment and its architecture. Even the palace is already gone and has been replaced with the new ones, but the values and its symbols are still unspoiled. In addition, the symbol values that show local wisdom are also found in the environment of Pelalawan. Something that been showed by the future generations. This research is used to find values on wing palace contained in its architecture and environment. This value will be basis for future development of Pelalawan and also in other Riau region.
