Abstract

This paper presents the main penal repercussions of the hallucinogens or recreational drugs. The particular consequences for the organism that consumption of these substances produce (hallucinations, dissociative states, etc.), makes it an interesting study on the problems with the law that may be associated with its consumption. We present the main characteristics of these substances as well as its significant impact on consumers. Finally, we analyze the judgments of criminal jurisdiction in which hallucinogens are collected both as an object of crime (because they involved crimes against public health) as well as a modifying circumstance of criminal responsibility.
