Abstract
The possibility of spinal stenosis must be kept in mind, since it is a potentially correctible lesion which, in elderly patients, can co-exist with other more obvious disease. Careful electrodiagnosis will often yield useful information. Skilled radiculography is the main diagnostic tool. Hopefully, the advent of newer contrast material will further reduce the occasional unpleasant sequelae. An extensive survey is presented.
