Analysis of the Subtitle Translation Strategy of the Film Confucius

Abstract

Subtitle translation is an important part of cross-cultural communication in films. This paper attempts to explore the subtitle translation of the film Confucius from a teleological perspective. The translator uses a combination of translation strategies and methods such as dissimilation, naturalization, reduction and addition to achieve the function of cultural communication and dissemination according to the characteristics and purposes of film subtitle translation.
