Abstract

Instead of teaching, teachers are expected to have the ability to write scientific papers as one of the efforts to develop their professionalism. Teachers' challenges in writing scientific papers are mostly due to having limited time to conduct research and some of them are clueless to the rules of scientific paper writing. The purpose of this devotional is to map the needs of English teachers in increasing professionalism through writing scientific papers. The method employed to achieve this goal is to provide research assistance and article writing for journals at least within 30 hours. Recent devotional is a replication of the previous devotional that has been conducted in partnership with the English MGMP of SMA/SMK in Malang which has proven effective and has succeeded in assisting 6 teachers in publishing journal articles. Social engagement is applied to English teachers in kabupaten Malang dan kota Batu. Through this activity, it is expected to find the obstacles and challenges faced by English teachers in writing scientific papers to improve teacher professionalism.
