Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of glycerin variations concentration on the physical properties of paper soap preparations of jackfruit leaf extract (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam.). The concentration of glycerin used was 7.5% (F1), 15% (F2), and 22.5% (F3). The physical properties studied included organoleptic (color, odor, shape, stickiness), pH, foam height, water content, and washing time. The results showed that changes in glycerin concentration had an effect on thepaper soap form, water content, and washing time and did not affect the organoleptic color, odor, stickiness, pH, and foam height of the paper soap. Formula with 22.5% glycerin concentration provides the best physical characteristics.
