Abstract

This paper presents an analysis of a nonlinear model of a rolling bearing with two degrees of freedom. The acceleration response provides information regarding the relationship between vibration and a different number of balls, values of internal clearance and rotary shaft speeds. The acceleration response is higher when the radial internal clearance and the shaft speed increase. When the number of balls increases, the acceleration decreases for the entire range of radial internal clearance. These results are useful for understanding the vibration response mechanism of ball bearings under variable parameters.
