Abstract

The objective of the present research is to develop an object-oriented simulation system of the holonic manufacturing systems. An object-oriented modelling method is applied to description of the data and the activities of the holons constituting the manufacturing systems, such as workpieces, machine tools, AGVs and storages. An object-oriented simulation model is developed to represent a holonic machining system for machine parts. The simulation model is applied to simulation of the holonic real-time scheduling systems.
