Abstract

Sports play a vital role in the development of the country. When a world-class athlete emerges, it will be able to promote the country. The country will be recognized in international level. Thus, there are various activities that have been conducted in sport organizations to enhance and increase knowledge. This study uses the qualitative interview methods. Managers of sports bodies were interviewed to understand and explore how sports organizations maintain and manage knowledge in their organizations. From the findings, employees engagement and narratives and stories are the two main categories of knowledge transfer strategies in sports organizations. The results obtained from the interviews conducted can be used as an early framework to assist sports organizations to improve their working systems and processes. This is done in an aim eventually to produce medal-winning athletes in international sports arenas.
