Abstract

The article presents a response to a comment about the paper which examined the result of tests on geogrid geosynthetics under static and repeated loads or stress in the soil and pipe. Several issues are considered including the full-scale tests of steel-reinforced high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe, the modulus or stiffness values of the soils, and the ratio of pipe deflection to plate settlement. The reduction of plate settlement and pipe deflection is discussed.
