Abstract

The basic principle of the spectrophotometer is described and its cost considered. Uses of atomic absorption spectrophotometry; in the metal finishing industry are discussed. It is intrinsically a method for measuring low concentrations of metals in solution. Tabulated data are given of the wavelength and sensitivity of most sensitive absroption line for some metals used in plating.
