Abstract
This research aims to analyze how to improve reading skills through implementing the Quantum Reading learning model. This research uses the classroom action research method the Kemmis and McTaggart model with stages, planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. The research location is in class III of SDN Surialaya Tasikmalaya with a total of 28 students. Data collection tools use teacher performance assessment tool (APKG) guidelines, observation and tests. The research results showed that reading ability through the implementation of the Quantum Reading learning model increased, this was proven by the results in cycle I, the post-test score for students' reading ability was an average of 70 with a percentage of 70%, there was an increase in Cycle II with an average of 80 with a percentage of 80%. The increase in students' reading ability reached 10%. Future researchers are advised to research how to implement the Quantum Reading learning model in other competitions or subjects.
