Abstract

Chemistry in tertiary institutions learns the basics of chemistry to become provisions for later employment. In school chemistry, a fairly complex understanding is needed for the interconnection of all existing materials. For a good understanding in connecting the three levels of representation from chemistry, mobile learning is used by making Android-based applications that are easily accessible to all students. This study aims to develop the potential and needs of Android-based learning media for school chemistry materials in higher education, to analyze the effectiveness of Android-based learning media on school chemistry learning. The research model applied is research and development. This research was conducted at the Chemistry Education Study Program, Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Bengkulu University. The percentage of validity obtained from media experts is 90.0%, material experts 83.75%, and students as users are 90.0%. This percentage is classified as valid..
