Abstract

Learning models can improve student learning outcomes. However, based on the facts in the field, teachers still rarely use learning models that can involve students playing an active role in learning. The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade students in the science subject of human circulatory system material through the Project Based Learning model which resulted in the Blood Stream Bottle project. The research used was classroom action research (PTK) in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection and is carried out in 2 meetings. The subjects of this research were fifth grade students of SDN Punten 01 Batu, totaling 35 students, consisting of 17 male students and 12 female students. The data analysis technique used is observation data analysis which is used to determine the implementation of the Project Based Learning learning model, while for student learning outcomes in learning researchers use test techniques given at the end of the learning process. Based on the results of this study, the results of the implementation of the learning model in cycle I were 31%, in cycle II it increased to 93.1%. It can be concluded that by applying the Project Based Learning learning model with project results in the form of Blood Stream Bottle props can improve the learning outcomes of grade V students on the material of the circulatory system at SDN Punten 01 Batu.
