Abstract

A paper feed process of a reverse roller type feed mechanism is simulated by a FEM software considering a modified Coulomb friction. The results show that the friction force acting on a paper does not depend on the normal force but the reverse torque. Based on this, a simple analytical model to predict the paper feed velocity is proposed.
