Peningkatan Keterampilan Menulis Teks Berita Melalui Model Problem Based Learning dan Media Gambar

Abstract

Article history: This research aims to improve news text writing skills using a problem based learning model and image media in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Batu. This research is classroom action research carried out in two cycles, each cycle has stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The research period starts from July 2023 to August 2023. The research objects are students in class VIII.3 of SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Batu with a total of 32 students. In collecting data, researchers used observation, documentation and test techniques. The results of the research show that the problem based learning model and image media can improve the news text writing skills of class VIII.3 students at SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Batu, with the results achieved in cycle 1 averaging 70.13 with a completeness of 43.8% from 32 students and in cycle 2 the average score was 79.43 and learning completion was 93.8% from 32 students. This means there is an increase of 50%.
