Abstract
To understand the relationship of micropollutants in aquatic environments and their impact on the primary production of these ecosystems, we carried out a scientometric analysis of studies on the interaction of micropollutants, mainly pesticides, in aquatic ecosystems with algae and cyanobateria. In the Web of Science database, we selected articles with the search words (agrotoxic*or pesticid*) and (microalgae or phytoplankton or periphyton) in the title, abstract or keywords published between 1998 and 2018. We selected 287 articles for analysis, surveying all the studied organisms and its association with the respective values of lethal dose (DL), effective concentration (EC) or inhibitiory concentration (IC) and the type of environment. The articles referred mainly to the bioaccumulation effects of the pesticides atrazine, chlorpyrifos and diuron. Clorsulfuron and metisulfuron metyl were the most common in inhibition concentration studies. The algae species most cited in the studies were: Chlorella vulgaris Beijerinck 1890, Raphidocelis subcapitata (Korshikov) Nygaard, Komárek, J.Kristiansen & O.M.Skulberg 1987, Scenedesmus quadricauda Chodat, nom. illeg. 1926. Cyanobacteria were the second most studied group of organisms. The pesticides answer were specie dependente. For the same specie there is not more than one answer to the same pesticide which impossibilite generalizations. Studies are predominantly in temperate regions, even with the large number of pesticides available on the market. Therefore, there is still not enough in the literature on the effect of these pesticides on natural aquatic ecosystems and, consequently, at the base of the trophic chain of environments.
