Abstract

Abstract:Rainfall prediction is important because they are used to avoid natural disaster. Rainfall Prediction is the application of science and technology to predict the rainfall for a future time at a given location. Rainfall forecasts are made by collecting quantitative data about the current state of the atmosphere. A neural network can learn complex mappings from inputs to outputs, based solely on samples and require limited understanding from trainer, who can be guided by heuristics. In this paper, possibility of predicting average rainfall has been analyzed through artificial neural network models. In formulating artificial neural network based predictive models three layered network has been constructed.
