Abstract

Occurrence of Fuligo septica on lettuce and long coriander Fuligo septica was reported for the first time in the State of Maranhão, Brazil, on lettuce (Lactuca sativa) and long coriander (Eryngium foetidum), causing severe losses. The fungus was identified based on its specific Myxomycetes characteristics. Although the F. septica is not a plant parasite, its presence in lettuce and long coriander caused serious damages.
