De rebeldías y revoluciones: Perspectivas críticas desde abajo y desde oriente en el pensamiento de manuel zapata olivella

Abstract

In this essay the problematic of violence in Colombia is explored from the political and literary perspective of Manuel Zapata Olivella. It is argued here that a more complete understanding of his perspective requires revealing the role played by two key; an historical moments that contributed to his intellectual education and development as a thinker, such as, the events occurred on April 9th 1948 in Bogotá and the transformative experience of his journey on China in 1952.
