KARAKTERISTIK SAPI SONOK DAN SAPI KERAPAN PADA UMUR YANG BERBEDA DI KABUPATEN PAMEKASAN PULAU MADURA

Abstract

The aim of this research was to analyze the characteristic of performance of quantitative of Sonok and Kerapan cattle in different age. Sample that used were 24 heads of Sonok cattle and 24 heads of Kerapan cattle in different age (PI0less than 18 months and PI1 between 18- 24 months) at Pamekasan Regency. Research method was survey, data collection was done in the village using direct weighing on chest girth, body length, body height, hips height and body weight. Data obtained on this research were analyzed using t-test. The result of this research was that age influenced chest girth, body length, body height, hips height and body weight in Sonok cattle (P<0.01). On the other hand in Kerapan cattle the effect of age on linear measurements and body weight was not significant different. Kerapan cattle 18-24 months of age and Kerapan cattle with less than 18 months of age have the same of linear measurements. Keyword:
