Abstract

Minimum Quantity Lubrication, which relies on total use without residue, has been gaining popularity as a new alternative for flood cooling. This chapter presents an overview regarding the various aspects of Minimum Quantity Lubrication/Near Dry Machining followed by a comprehensive literature review to provide an outline of developments and outcomes of various studies. Further, a sequential procedure for determining the rational operating parameters was demonstrated to achieve enhanced effectiveness of aerosol during machining. Finally, the chapter was concluded with some guidelines for further research.
