Abstract
By eluting the silica gel column, on which the Et2O ext. from N. komarovii aboveground part was chromatographed, with a CHCl3-Me2OH-NH3 (50:40:10:1) mixt. a substance of general formula C20H15N3, m. 219-220°, was isolated. The base was named komarovidine (I). By spectral and comparative anal. the I structure was identified as 5,6-dihydro-3-(8'-quinolyl)-β-carboline. [on SciFinder(R)]
