Abstract

A new pentacylic triterpene, 1β-hydroxylfriedelin, has been isolated from the sclerotia of Polyporus umbellatus (Pers.) Fries (Polyporaceae) together with 18 known compounds (2-19). The structures of these compounds were elucidated on the basis of spectral data.
