Abstract

Medicinal chemistry is a small but critical discipline that is integrated into several institutes across the National Institutes of Health, including the National Institute on Drug Abuse. I have had the opportunity and privilege to contribute novel small molecules that have opened opportunities for drug discovery, especially targeted to underserved populations who suffer from substance use disorders.
