Development of Coil Spring Suspension System with Air Bellows

Abstract

Most of the mass production cars use only coil springs in their suspension systems. We have developed a combination of coil spring suspension with air bellows to reduce the vibrations of the vehicle in mass production cars. Our design proposes and successfully implemented the use of coil springs and the air bellows that will reduce the vehicle’s vibrations and provide some amount of cushioning effect to the passengers and Driver. The coil spring is placed on the top of air bellows only in the rear suspension. And calculated the vibration using I Dynamics app.
