Abstract

We consider the control problem for a population dynamics model with age dependence, spatial structure, and a nonlocal birth process arising as a boundary condition. We examine the controllability at a given time T and show that approximate controllability holds for every fixed finite time T. As a consequence a new uniqueness condition continuation result is proved. © 2000 Academic Press.
