Abstract

This essay aims to conceptually specify an educational proposition for Physical Education, guided by the multidimensionality knowledge whose centrality is the production of powerful knowledge. In that direction, we propose two “macro” dimensions, from which five sub-dimensions originate. The macro dimension of body practices unfolds in the sub-dimensions of fundamental and advanced body practices. The macro conceptual dimension, in fundamental conceptual sub-dimension, relational and social critical. Even recognizing that multidimensionality knowledge proposal may not “solve” all the problems in the area, we understand that taking the theoretical framework which supports it seriously can constitute a good alternative for the organization of the teaching process of this curricular component, effectively enhancing the knowledge production about the movement body culture.
