Abstract

This work presents the development of a system dynamic model for the use of recycled material from construction and demolition waste in the production of non-structural concrete blocks, using the software Stella for modeling of parameters. The modeling allows the individual analysis of the production process parameters, serving as a base for the definition of critical activities and possibilities for the improvement and optimization of the production. The modeling is also a validation criterion to ensure an efficient reuse of construction waste, given the current regulations, environmental and technical specifications. This study resulted in a conceptual analysis model considering several variables related to the production process. It was possible to demonstrate that the use of construction and demolition waste is a feasible social and environmental activity with economic potential.
