Abstract

We have studied the influence of the polarization angle of linear radiation on the recently measured radiation-induced magnetoresistance oscillations in two-dimensional electron systems. We have applied a previous theoretical framework based in solving the Schrodinger equation of a two-dimensional quantum oscillator subjected to a time-varying force. In agreement with experimental results we have obtained that the magnetoresistance is not affected by the orientation of the electric field of linearly polarized radiation. © 2010 IOP Publishing Ltd.
