Abstract

We discuss here an important question concerning the explanation of some phenomena in which a motional electromotive force appears, by using Faraday's law under conditions where it does not apply. In addition, this discussion gives rise to comments on subjects such as the axiomatic structure of the classical electromagnetic theory and its relation with relativity. © by the Sociedade Brasileira de Física.
