Abstract

"Every chapter begins with a vignette in the chapter opener that introduces a central concept of the chapter with one or more business example. Cross-linkages between chapters refer readers to other portions of the text that expand upon the topic under discussion. This feature allows readers to approach concepts from more than one perspective, highlighting the interdisciplinary nature of the subject. Every chapter includes at least one of all of the following call-out boxes: Leadership, ethical decisions, global insight, and managerial insight. These boxes provide concrete examples, quotes from industry decision-makers, and thought-provoking statistics that motivate the text. At least one call-out box in every chapter is dedicated to issues unique to small- and mid-sized enterprise
