Abstract

The Θ̂-algorithm is a general extrapolation procedure for accelerating the convergence of sequences. Acceleration theorems for two classes of sequences of real numbers are proved. Theoretical results are illustrated by numerical examples. © 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
