Abstract
One of the roles of mothers in the family is to fulfill physiological and psychological needs by applying appropriate parenting patterns to children. Pre-school children are a golden phase, meaning that they develop rapidly so that children have the right to good development. Problems become different when mothers are also at work because time cannot be 100% in taking care of children. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between parenting patterns of working mothers and the level of development of pre-school age children. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with aapproach cross sectional. The sample used was 47 mothers with thetechnique total sampling. The results showed that almost half of the mothers applied permissive parenting as many as 16 people (34.04%) and almost half of the pre-school age children had doubts about 23 people (48.9%). Bivariate analysis usingtest Spearman's Rank with P Value < (0.001 < 0.05). So Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between parenting patterns of working mothers and the level of development of pre-school age children. So to maintain good development, parents need to apply appropriate parenting patterns.
