Abstract

BUMDes is very important in the context of empowering rural communities But unfortunately many BUMDes have not been able to run optimally One of them is BUMDes Gunong Kleng or Gampong-Owned Enterprises BUMG) Gunong Kleng BUMG Gunong Kleng has 3 types of businesses They are event tend rental sound system rental and brick making However over time the business that is currently running is only event tend rental The other two businesses are no longer running This type of research is descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological approach based on the Qanun BUMG regarding the purpose of the establishment of BUMG Furthermore the results of the study show that BUMDes has played a sufficient role in community empowerment but it has not been maximal However there are several obstacles including the lack of incompetent Human Resources and the community who does not use BUMDes as a third party
