Abstract

Lists the differences between the final standard for libraries in higher education now approved by the Association of College and Research Libraries Task force and previous standards and sets out the standard. It covers: points of comparison for input and output, planning and assessment; services; instruction; access; staff; communication and cooperation; administration and budgets. A panel carries an account of the development of the standards and details of the authors with their e-mail addresses.
