Abstract

Automotive displays are highly challenging in terms of application requirements and outstanding image quality. This article presents select topics, but Display Week offered much more to experience, including human-robot interactions by Adlatus Robotics, Germany; under-display cameras suitable for driver supervision (Visionox, Samsung); a rear-view mirror with a display by BOE; and laser-assisted LEDs for DMD headlights by Optonomous Technologies, US. Finally-and importantly-seamless and stylish integration of displays (and interior lighting) in cars is essential, notably for premium cars. AGC (Asahi Glass Corp.) presented a spectacular video at their virtual booth. Let’s hope that we can experience such breath-taking mock-ups, displays, and interaction technologies again live at an onsite Display Week 2022 in San Jose, California.
