Description de la faune des Petrosida (Porifera) de la Nouvelle-Calédonie I. Petrosiidae-Oceanapiidae

Abstract

The present paper de Als with the New Caledonian Petrosida. A total of 13 species have been studied. Six new species are described Petrosia capsa n. sp., P. granifera n. sp., Oceanapia papula n. sp., O. tenuis . n. sp., Pellina triangulata n. sp., Inflatella perlucida n. sp. A comprehensive description of each species is given fully illustrated with photographs and line drawings. The genera are redefined based on the study of the present collection. Tables are included giving comparative measurements and geographical distributions of the Petrosida, based on a study of the type specimens and our samples.
