Abstract

Skilvul is a technology education that provides digital skills learning content using the "Blended-learning" method which is available online and offline. The Skilvul platform wants to develop a 1:1 mentoring feature, namely Mentor on Demand, where participants are able to provide guidance and solve problems faced by participants on a 1:1 basis or one mentor for one mentee. In general, online courses are carried out simultaneously with many participants, so they have a fairly large ratio between mentors and participants so that it can make students difficult to complete a task or do not understand the material explained. The process of designing the User Interface (UI) & User Experience (UX) of the Mentor on Demand feature requires the creation of new ideas and innovations to be able to solve the problems encountered, therefore in this study using one of the problem solving methods, namely Design Thinking. In the Design Thinking method there are 5 stages that must be done to get an idea and a solution, namely Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Testing. Testing is carried out on the prototype that has been produced using the Single Ease Question (SEQ) metric. The average SEQ value for each task is 6.25-7 out of 5 respondents. This means that the UX flow on the resulting prototype can be learned easily and has answered the needs of the user as well as from Skilvul.
