This article aims to analyze risks to the environment and the recovery of metals from Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) with the help of biotechnology, seeking not only to raise awareness of the eminent dangers of these residues, but also the opportunities that they offer, as they have the most valuable components and do not yet have large-scale technology for their processing.
