Abstract
BACKGROUND: Many young adults experience high levels of stress and are exposed to risky behaviors such as drug and alcohol use, and unprotected sex. OBJECTIVE: To understand the relationship between stress, intimate partner violence, and dyadic satisfaction in a sample of low-income young adults. METHOD: We conducted a descriptive-correlational study through the internet, using a survey design. A total of 236 people participated, the majority being women (81.4%) between the ages of 18-30.
