Abstract
The article speculates on future development in information technology and briefly considers past developments that have brought the technology to its present state today. Subjects covered include integrated circuit evolution wafer-scale integration, memory developments, artificial intelligence, materials developments, hardware and software developments, speech recognition and synthesis, and others.
