How does Quizizz application as an online mathematics learning quiz media during pandemic Covid-19?

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted various fields of life, namely education. This condition requires every student to do online learning or study from home. Learning media is needed to attract students' interest and motivation in learning mathematics. This study aimed to analyze the application of Quizizz as an online math quiz media. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research by collecting data in a survey with a questionnaire on the implementation of tests using Quizizz in online mathematics learning distributed through Google Form. The subjects of this study were students of class X in one of the public high schools in Riau. Respondents in this study amounted to 114 students. From the results of student responses, 64% of students agree that the learning media in the form of quizzes is easy and fun to use, 75% of students find it helpful to recall the material they have learned, 67% of students agree that Quizzz helps them find out what material is not yet known, 61% of students agree Quizizz increases understanding, 53% of students feel their learning motivation has increased because of ratings from other students, and 63% of students agree that Quizizz increases their curiosity about the material being studied. Thus the Quizizz application can be recommended as an alternative quiz media for learning mathematics during online learning.
