Abstract

This case was built to be used as an auxiliary teaching tool in the classes of Business courses, mainly in disciplines related to themes as strategy, decision making and outsourcing. The data were obtained through interviews with the protagonist of the case. There is a decisive moment in Cadu’s life, the coordinator of a gym that provides services for a traditional religious college. Cadu thinks it is an uncomfortable situation in face of the unsatisfactory results that the enterprise has achieved in recent times. Also, the financial health of the gym was weakened, so a new player in this story could not only drastically change the facts but also put at risk Cadu’s own employment. Faced with this scenario, the board of directors will soon take a decision on the subject and Cadu is challenged to find a coherent position and defend it before the direction of the institution.
