Employing Pedagogical Imagination with Open Educational Resources

Abstract

The article focuses on the history and significance of open educational resources (OERs) and the role of librarians in implementing OERs. It states that OERs pertains to teaching and learning that resides in the public domain or released in with intellectual property licenses. Moreover, a timeline which shows the rapid change and transformation in higher education driven by several factors including depressed economy, technological innovations, and financial value of education is presented.
