Abstract

The technological, economic, social and environmental dynamics of production systems are currently oriented by sustainability approaches in their raw material transformation cycles. The above is framed by new guidelines and orientations that promote the sustainable use of materials, the reuse of recovered products at the source and in the supply chain, the generation of new market niches for by-products and a circular approach to all lifecycle. This circular economy approach has permeated different sectors of the economy of nations, especially the agricultural sector, for its orientation in the generation and transformation of raw materials of plant and animal origin. This interaction derives in a circular bioeconomy megatrend, transversal to different variables, especially the technological one. Through a scientometric analysis carried out in the Scopus® database, trends and research, development and innovation focus were identified.
