Abstract

At the beginning of the 18th century the War of the Spanish Succession (1700-1715) constitutes a conflict of central importance and the signature of the Utrecht Treaties, that put an end to it, had consequences of international significance. This work presents an issue that has been scantily studied: the impact of the war process and the consequences of the Treaties in the region of the Río de la Plata.
