Emergency Department (ED) crowding is a common problem around the world. Process reengineering methods can be used to understand factors that contribute to crowding and provide tools to help alleviate crowding by improving service quality and patient flow. In the ED of Sfax hospital the patients’ dangerous case could be transported by ambulances. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the application of Dial-A-Ride Problem (DARP). Computational experiments are performed on real case instances using CPLEX 10.0 on personal computer Intel® Core 2Duo CPU 2.0 GHZ.
